Super Powers You Naturally Have (But You Often Forget)

Shane Bell February 24, 2023

We all have the ability to overcome life’s challenges. Unfortunately, many people fail to get through theirs because of one reason: they have little faith in themselves. We often gain strength from other people, such as friends and family. And there’s nothing wrong with this. But sometimes, when we fail to get it from others, we feel frustrated and unable to move forward.

While we may not be always at our best state, we all have natural super powers that help us deal with all sorts of difficulties and challenges. But what we need to do first is to realise that they exist so the next time we feel like the walls kept tumbling down, and we have no one to turn to, we can easily tap into our inner powers and face life’s challenges with courage.

Self-Worth

Sometimes, it is really hard to keep up with other people’s expectations. It is easy to lose your self-esteem when you are going through a difficult moment. But by acknowledging your self-worth, you will instantly have the courage to pick yourself up and move on. When you acknowledge your self-worth, you won’t let others pull you down.

Self-Love

It is easy to neglect yourself when you have problems. But being more compassionate to yourself when you are most vulnerable is actually one of the strongest powers you have to triumph over life’s hardest moments. Embrace your positive qualities and don’t feel discouraged by the things you lack. When you love yourself you accept all parts of yourself. You see yourself as a work in progress. The more love you give to yourself, the higher your confidence gets.

Self-Respect

Self-respect is the super power that gives you the strength to say ‘no’ to something that displeases you or does not agree with your core values. By practising self-respect, you are giving yourself the opportunity to have mutually beneficial and healthy relationships and interactions with other people.

Self-acceptance

It is hard to appreciate, love and respect yourself when you don’t accept who you are. But when you have self-acceptance, you have the power to not feel bad about yourself when you can’t do something perfectly. You focus on personal development and find ways to make yourself better. When you live this way, you are able to find and cultivate happiness within yourself, not from others or anything else.

So there you go – the super powers that help you deal with whatever life throws at you. By reminding yourself every day that you have these powers, you know that no matter how difficult your situation is now, you will get through it.
