MindfulnessUK is a leading, nationwide Teaching, Training and Therapy Organisation delivering Mindfulness to individuals, groups, professionals, businesses and organisations.
We offer Teacher Training to those wishing to gain a Qualification in Mindfulness.
We are renowned for offering Mindfulness in an approachable, practical, hands-on and applicable way.
We believe our training is unique because of the depth and rigour of the programmes, developed from our extensive experience and application of Mindfulness. By conducting research we are able to demonstrate the efficacy of our teaching and training.
Our programmes are being continuously updated and extended. Our skill is not only in teaching Mindfulness but in teaching others to teach it too! Thus we are not only leaders in providing workplace solutions but also in upskilling professionals and therapists.
MindfulnessUK offers a training pathway which can be accessed at any point (with appropriate pre-requisite experience) on an individual basis or on behalf of an organisation or business.
We are steeped in our own personal practice, bringing passion and a depth of understanding to the heart of our work. We have experienced first hand the transformative capacities of Mindfulness and the effects it can have on all aspects of our lives. Our wish is that we can support you along your own path.
As a team of professionals, we bring different strengths and backgrounds to the application of Mindfulness within a variety of sectors, which feeds into the Parliamentary Mindfulness Initiative.
There are 2 Directors, Karen and Neil Atkinson, Angie who is a Mindfulness Teacher, and a number of Associate Teachers, offering a variety of Mindfulness teaching and training to individuals, small groups, public service staff, businesses and organisations.
All our teacher trainers are approachable, practical and hands-on in their approach and adhere to the good practice guidelines of the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teachers and Trainers.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is about moving away from a thinking-based way of living into a more direct and immediate connection with our ordinary everyday experience. It involves learning to pay attention to our experiences in the present moment, leaving behind ruminations of the past and worry about the future, helping us to feel a sense of calm and connection with ourselves and those around us.
By increasing our awareness we bring about choices, enabling us to gain more control over all aspects of our busy daily lives, thereby optimising our physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing.
