About United Kingdom Academy of Integrative Therapy

Hi, my name is Paul Henderson,

After a life-threatening battle with alcohol in the 1980s, I developed a deep interest in the workings of the human mind. Subsequently, I qualified as a clinical hypnotherapist and psychodynamic counsellor, before embarking on a Bachelor’s Degree and specializing in Child Development and Social Psychology.

Dedicated to promoting diversity and flexibility in the field of applied therapy, I recently founded the United Kingdom Association of Integrative Therapy (UKAIT), and its associated training school - the United Kingdom Academy of Integrative Therapy.

In addition to teaching psychology, I travel the country conducting workshops and speaking on a wide array of subjects, including Vedic Science, the Mechanisms of Consciousness, and Past-Life Therapy.

My interest in the transpersonal led to my first novel ’In This world but Not Of It’,’ a book which combines psychology, philosophy, modern science and spirituality in a way that is aimed to inspire, challenge and transform.

My second book Alcoholic to Alchemist was released recently. Although this was initially aimed at people with alcohol problems, it has become popular with anyone wishing to take the journey from enslavement to enlightenment.

As well as providing courses in Hypnotherapy, I conduct weekend workshops on self-development.
At my clinic, I hold private consultations with clients seeking advice on a wide array of issues: unresolved childhood issues, low self-esteem, couples counselling, relationship issues, family counselling, bereavement, exam \ interview nerves, phobias, weight loss, addiction, smoking cessation, life coaching.

I am an accredited member of the National Council of Psychotherapist (NCP) and my training school, UKAIT, is a course provider for both the NCP and the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). Consequently, I adhere to a very strict code of ethics.
