  The problem that has ultimately led me to contact you is of a sexual nature, but I think sexuality is connected to all other aspects of myself and what I actually want is to come to understand better myself, my feelings, motivations and fears, as well as the way my relationship with the others. I’m a 33-year-old male. I have had three partners in my life and I have experienced the same problem with all of them. Difficulties with my erections is the most obvious part of the problem, but what actually worries me is that after the first sexual experiences with them I loose all sexual desire and avoid sex with them, which (added to the erection problem) makes the relationship impossible. I have multiple issues, some of them major and some of them not, and I’m able to find possible reasons and sometimes solutions to most of them. But I can’t find any sort of answers to the lack of sexual desire for my partners. I’m looking for counselling to be able to find the roots of the problem and tackle it somehow. Before choosing a psychotherapist, I would like to find out more about your approach to cases like this. How would you approach my problem?
