About Anthony Mcglynn Counselling
Hello my name is Tony and I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor practicing in Liverpool.I am a registered member of BACP and I provide a professional and confidential counselling service.
The counselling can be short term (around 6 sessions) or longer, this is entirely dependent on the needs of the client.
I offer a supportive and empathetic approach in a non-judgmental environment. This is where we can explore difficult feelings and encourage a deeper personal insight into issues that may present themselves. The counselling experience can help you find a greater understanding of your thoughts and feelings and help you in finding resolutions in your life which can enhance your personal wellbeing.
As a counsellor I have a successful track record of developing trusting, therapeutic relationships helping clients to focus on thoughts and feelings that are often painful and limiting. The counselling experience has helped clients to develop new ways of looking at the world around them.
I have specialised in bereavement and loss issues with Liverpool Bereavement Service and have helped people with a broad range of issues within my practice including anxiety, abuse, addictions, anger management, depression, eating disorders, gambling, generalised anxiety disorder , health related issues, identity, personal development, redundancy, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, sexual identity, sexuality, and stress amongst others.
I have over 20 years experience of listening to, and supporting adults and young people presenting a wide range of issues in communities across Merseyside as a youth and community worker. For the past 4 years I have been supporting clients on behavioural change programmes as part of a Health Improvement Team on Merseyside.
I have been able to utilise Emotional Freedom Training and Mindfulness techniques to aid personal well-being with clients.
I can arrange to meet clients in a number of settings that are suited to the client’s needs. I have venues in Old Swan, Norris Green, Rodney Street and Campbell Street in Liverpool City Centre.
