About All Ears Counselling and Psychotherapy

Do you want to take control of your life? Are you ready to take the first step?

I can help you. I am an experienced and friendly professional offering affordable and confidential counselling and psychotherapy to adults, couples and groups in Levenshulme, South Manchester.

Why Work With Me?

I am an experienced and friendly therapist who offers a caring and supportive non-judgemental environment for people to work through their personal challenges and difficulties. I have a massive passion for counselling and psychotherapy - from my studies, experience and as a result of my own therapeutic journey. I know this process works!

I can offer you a free telephone consultation which usually lasts around 10 to 15 minutes where we can talk through your reasons for coming to therapy. I will also take some personal details from you and let you know how I work. If you decide you want to go ahead, we’ll arrange a first meeting.

As I work from my home, I don’t have the usual room hire charges to pay. Therefore I pass on this value to my clients by offering affordable rates. I also run a low cost therapy service to people who are unemployed or on low incomes. It’s important that therapy is accessible to everyone, so I’m doing my bit to make this happen.

Can Counselling Help You?

I can confidently say a big YES.....through my own experience in therapy and also the change I see in my clients. Therapy sessions can offer you the perfect opportunity to really get to grips with who you are. You will be given the time and space you need to explore any difficulties or issues you may be experiencing in a safe and nurturing environment.

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes life can feel like a stuck record. The same old problems keep coming back or they just won’t go away. At other times you may feel a bit lost or held back from achieving your hopes or dreams.

Perhaps you have been depressed or anxious for some time or have other longer term mental health issues? Maybe you are experiencing relationship problems, confusion about your sexuality, loneliness or existential issues. You may have simply lost your mojo with life?

Your therapy sessions can also help you to develop your self-awareness. This is an extremely useful tool to have when making those really important, positive changes to your life.

Taking the first step can often be a daunting process, but it is a process we will do together and you will be fully supported every step of the way.

About Me

I trained extensively for 4 years clinical psychotherapy and have a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (TA). During my training, I was rigorously assessed by a UKCP trainer and have the skills to work with the general public clinically. I am also a registered member of BACP which means I have passed their proficiency test and appear on their professional register.

I have a very real interest in people. Stuff like behaviour, personality, why we do the things we do…. that sort of thing. I also have a massive passion for counselling and psychotherapy, resulting from my extensive studies and my own therapeutic journey. I am committed to helping people achieve their goals and bring about positive change.

I started my own therapeutic journey several years ago. I can honestly say it’s the best thing I have ever done. I have first hand experience of the benefits therapy can give – inner calmness, a greater understanding of self, why we do the things we do. Ultimately, a much more positive and happier life. I think it is the one of the greatest, if not the greatest, gift you can give to yourself and one you totally deserve.

If you decide to work with me, I will treat you with honesty, integrity and respect; from an “I’m OK, you’re OK” life position. Together we will look at your presenting issues and what you want from therapy. We will then decide a way forward and work together to bring about the changes you want. I think the relationship between the client and therapist is very important. We will spend time building this relationship, going at a pace you feel comfortable with.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a magic wand so I can’t just make problems and issues go away. However I do see myself as a facilitator in the therapeutic relationship. Therefore I will be there to guide you when needed, offering you relevant and honest input. I can also teach you the basics of some really simple psychotherapy models. This will help you gain a better understanding of yourself and your life. Increased self-awareness is often the key to getting the life and happiness you deserve.

I work confidentially with Adults, Couples and Groups using TA methods. Therapy helps you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours freely and without judgement. I use a variety of techniques which help clients strengthen and heal themselves. These can be tailored to suit your individual needs.
