About Jayne Gregory - Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Many people experience low self-esteem, depression or anxiety. Therapy can assist in resolving these issues. I have over 10 years clinical experience in the NHS, charity sector and private practice, working with both young people and adults.
Everyone feels overwhelmed or troubled at some point in their lives. It may feel like this is a strange or a new experience, or it may be an all too familiar destructive pattern.
I am an experienced therapist offering brief or long-term face-to-face counselling.
You may prefer short-term therapy (normally up to twelve sessions) that focuses on a specific aspect of your life or provides support during a crisis or major life event. Longer term therapy helps you address recurrent patterns of distress.
You may know what you want to address or you may have only a vague sense of what feels wrong. You may be feeling lost or desperate or just wish to continue your journey of self-awareness. Psychotherapy can be a source of support and comfort while you make sense of these issues. With a willingness to understand your current situation and what brings you to therapy, we can try to trace the source of your distress and we can attempt to heal that hurt together. Psychotherapy can help people change and enables you to find your own solutions.
My aim is always to support you to make sense of your life in a way that leads to a renewed sense of hope.
My approach is based on an integrative perspective which means I draw on many different theoretical approaches.
My work is tailored to each individual. You dictate the speed and methods of working. As well as talking therapy, I may include other helpful methods such as Cognitive Behavioural therapy techniques, image and artwork or exploration of dreams. I provide a safe, non-judgemental and welcoming environment in which to explore the issues that are troubling you.
My training, work experience and any achievement
• MA in Transpersonal Psychotherapy - University of Northampton
• Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy - Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education

• BSc (Hons) Psychology - Birbeck College University of London
• Over ten years direct clinical experience working in the NHS, charity sector and private practice
Self-esteem issues, family dynamics, depression, anxiety, bullying and relationship issues.
In our initial meeting we will talk about what brings you to therapy and gives you the opportunity to decide if the way I work appeals to you. Should we decide I am not the right person for you, I would be happy to provide details of other therapists who might suit you better.
Sessions last for 50 minutes (although they can be longer on request), once (or twice if required) a week on the same day and time.
My counselling practice is run within a local clinic in Broad Street, Teddington with good transport links. Access to my therapy room includes a flight of stairs.
Teddington Station (South west trains) is about a six minute walk
Buses: 33, 281, 285, 481, R68, X26
There is also a public ‘pay and display’ car park two minutes’ walk away in North Lane.
