About Elan Training and Development: Elan Training and Development is a therapy centre which offers individual, couple and group therapy, accredited psychotherapy training, and supervision for psychotherapists. A range of therapies, including Transactional Analysis, Integrative Psychotherapy, Psychosynthesis, Hypnotherapy, CBT and Nutritional therapy are all available from qualified and registered therapists at our centre. We run Continuing Professional Development courses for therapists and Personal Development courses for everyone who is interested in self awareness and change.
We emphasise the relational nature of psychotherapy and counselling, to provide support and challenge to anyone wishing to make changes in their lives. This can be short or long term, depending on what you need.
All psychotherapists and counsellors at Elan offer a free introductory session that will help you to clarify what you are looking for and what we can provide.

My training, work experience and any achievement: All therapists at Elan are trained in one of the following modalities: Transactional Analysis, Integrative Psychotherapy, Psychosynthesis, Hypnotherapy and CBT, as well as Nutritional Therapy. We are registered members of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and The Nutritional Therapies Council. WE adhere to the Ethical Standards for all of these bodies.
Our therapists have experience in working with people from 2 years to 35 years, and all are regularly supervised. One of our therapists has Chaired the ITA and been on the Ethics Committee for the ITA. One of our therapists works regularly abroad at centres like the Skyros Centre and Cortijo Romero. One of our therapists works at the Christie Hospital and specialises in working with people with a cancer diagnosis.

Other concerns & issues I deal with: Therapists at Elan deal with a wide range of personal and interpersonal issues, including, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, identity issues, abuse and trauma, stresses at work, interpersonal communication, spiritual aspects of development, and a holistic approach to wellbeing, including nutrition, body awareness, and pain management. Each person’s individual needs are assessed and responded to with the most appropriate approaches for that person.
