About Life to the Power of Food

Using food and nutrition to give people the power to achieve optimum health.

Nutritional therapy is using nutrition science to promote optimum health and peak performance, disease prevention and patient care.

Based in and around London, we want to share our passion about food to change your life for the better. Nutritional therapy aims to get to the root of your health problems rather than simply addressing the symptoms. Treating each person as an individual, in a holistic way.

Good nutrition is the cornerstone of good health and longevity. Everyday we are bombarded with facts about how poor the British diet is and the long-term consequences of eating the ‘wrong’ foods. It can be confusing picking your way through the media hype.

Every year there are food scares and trends are changing to use more natural foods, increasing home cooking and reducing processed foods. Making these changes can be difficult with a busy lifestyle and commitments. A consultation with a nutritional therapist can help.

There can be times in our lives that nutritional support is not enough, e.g. during a stressful period, menopause or pregnancy. During these periods our nutritional demands may be higher and we may need some extra help from specialised nutritional supplements.

Nutritional therapy can help improve a wide variety of health conditions. We recognise that each person is an individual who has unique dietary and nutritional requirements. You are unique.

Further Information

What Might You Expect From A Consultation?

You’ll be asked to fill in a detailed questionnaire and a diet diary prior to the first appointment. During the consultation a full history will be taken covering past medical history, family health, current health issues, diet and lifestyle.

At your consultation these areas will be discussed and explanations given, wherever possible, and how your current symptoms may be related to your food choices and lifestyle.

You’ll receive a personalised dietary, lifestyle and nutritional supplement programme (where applicable) taken from the information gathered during your consultation and, when appropriate, from recommended laboratory tests. Advice will be given on the practical implementation of this programme.

The initial consultation will take around an hour with a follow-up consultation 4-6 weeks afterwards taking around 45 minutes. Follow-ups thereafter, typically last for 30 minutes.

As well as dietary and nutritional advice, recommendations may include guidance on detoxification, methods to support digestion and absorption, procedures to promote colon health, and also the avoidance of ingestion or inhalation of allergens or toxins.

I very much respect Jills knowledge and expertise within the field of nutrition. Further more she offers this advice in a pragmatic manner, taking into account the patients lifestyle. I have personally learned so much from Jill’s friendly yet very informed manner. Having taken advantage myself, I have offered this service to a number of my employees to ensure full health.

I was tired of crash diets, of temporarily losing weight and then putting it back on at the same speed. For once I wanted to lose weight in a healthy and balanced way. Although I had read a lot about nutrition, Jill helped me put things into perspective with a professional eye. She gave me a pragmatic approach to eating less and maintaining a more balanced diet, she provided a whole range of delicious recipes in case I ran out of ideas… and it worked! I started losing weight slowly but constantly, and feeling a lot better! I really recommend Jill, she is great!
