About Michaela Hypnotherapy
I am also a fully qualified Counsellor in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis.
I have been always very curious about people, and I find helping people to empower themselves very rewarding.
My encounter with hypnotherapy was a coincidence.
My sister was training to become a hypnotherapist and needed someone to practice. So I decided to give it a go. Who would not enjoy being relaxed? But wow I was amazed. In two sessions, I managed to treat my bruxism (grinding teeth) that I have been suffering since my childhood. No more teeth pain, no more dentist emergency visits! Such a relief! And as a by-product I have also become much happier and content with myself.
So having experienced the benefits of hypnotherapy for myself I have decided to train as a hypnotherapist with the Hampshire school of hypnotherapy under the wonderful tutelage of Lorraine Gleeson.
I am truly passionate about hypnosis, and I love helping people to make positive changes in their lives.
I offer client-centred hypnotherapy using Gestalt, Inner Child, Regression and other techniques together with clinical hypnosis that will help you to use the power of your own mind to make a change. I continue my professional development attending CPD workshops.

Relaxation taster session – up to 45 minutes £40.00
Full session – up to 90 minutes £65.00
Stop smoking – 1 session £150.00
Hypno-Gastric Band – 4 sessions £280.00
The first session will include a full assessment, the therapy itself and CD for you to take away and listen to at home to reinforce the therapy.
I appreciate at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, so that I may offer space to someone else.
When I make an appointment for you, that appointment is a definite booking, and I have put time aside for you. Cancellation fees may apply to last-minute changes, and I may request a deposit for your next booking.

When you make an appointment I will make sure I will put aside enough time so we can get know each other. It is important that you feel comfortable with me and it is normal for people to feel a bit nervous about their first visit to a hypnotherapist.

I have always found myself to be lazy and laid back when it comes to eating, this became much worse when I had my first baby. Not only did I gain weight in pregnancy but once my baby was here I could not find the time to exercise regularly or eat regular home cooked meals. Thanks to hypnotherapy I now feel more relaxed about food. Without thinking about it I have cut out the takeaways and cook meals from scratch with a good variety of nutrition.
