About Pat Duckworth, Cognitive Hypnotherapy

I am a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner working from Harley Street, London and clinics in Hertfordshire, Cambridge and Toronto.

Most of my clients come to me through recommendation from previous clients and referrals from other therapists.

I work with people who are experiencing an issue in that is stopping them from getting on with enjoying their lives. It might be anxiety, fear, stress, anger, lack of confidence, a weight problem or something they find hard to explain. Whatever it is, if you are ready to move on from it, I am ready to help you.

Cognitive hypnotherapy brings together clinical hypnosis and NLP with elements of positive psychology. This means that I have a range of techniques that I can use to tailor your therapy to achieve effective results and long-lasting change. You are unique and your experience of your issue is unique. Through our discussions I can put together the treatment plan that is right for you. You may be surprised how quickly you can start to notice the positive changes once we start working together.

I specialise In women’s health issues including hot flushes, sleep problems, mood swings, weight and confidence. I understand how embarrassing and debilitating these symptoms can be, but there are so many options for bringing them under control. I can help you discover what works for you.

Women may experience menopause symptoms as a natural stage of their lives or as a result of clinical interventions such as hysterectomy, radiotherapy or hormone treatment for cancer. In those circumstances, the side effects can be as distressing the initial problem. There are techniques that I can help you discover to control your symptoms.

I can’t thank Pat enough for helping me to come to terms with some traumatic issues that I’ve buried for 30 years. Pat is very personable and gets to the nub of the issue in a relaxed and caring way. The sessions have been truly amazing and I’m certainly making good progress. In the three sessions I’ve had to date, Pat has provided some enlightening in sights and really made me think differently. I honestly can’t thank Pat enough - she’s amazing!

I have suffered from a debilitating fear of heights. I decided to do something about it and saw Pat. She did very useful visualization exercises with me. I was able to climb up to trees in an adventure park. It was a profound emotional experience for me, being able to break free from my fear. I was able to calm myself up in the trees using Pats exercises. Thank you thank you thank you Pat! Pat is also a wonderful woman, a great communicator and a truly beautiful soul!

I am so pleased I found Pat. She balances empathy and professionalism brilliantly. I have found myself with a new lease of life, more energy and vibrancy since working with Pat. I urge anyone struggling with a phobia to contact Pat too.

Pat has the very special quality of making you feel at ease the moment you enter the treatment room. She is very professional and clearly knows her craft. Most importantly, I felt safe to fully engage in the treatment and the results of the treatment where phenomenal. I was so happy with Pats treatment that I took my daughter to her and also my partner. They too had great benefit and we would whole heartedly recommend Pat to anyone who is thinking about having treatment with her.

Wow. I was tempted to stop there :) I don’t often give reviews as I don’t have the time and it is rare that I feel compelled to. Pat however has in the short time I’ve known her been a great source of support and inspiration. She is a great teacher that has taught me to think and even learn in new ways. Brilliant but humble, professional but engaging, she under-promises and over-delivers. If you’re already here I would advise you to at the very least get in touch and have a chat with her. You have nothing to lose and quite possibly a great deal to gain. Thanks Pat :)

Anne, Hertfordshire, November 09 2013

I initially found Pat via her excellent website and after a thorough introductory session followed up with regular consultations over several months I have suffered with stress related anxiety and low self esteem problems on and off for many years and have had cognitive hypnotherapy on previous occasions and found it to be helpful so I had no fear of the process but Pat offers much more than just hypnotherapy. I found the sessions to be extremely helpful and instructive both for the anxiety and the depression( which almost inevitably follows) and she also provided recordings tailored specifically to my needs and follow up notes, strategies and coping mechanisms for me to work on in my own time. I found that this integrated approach worked well and together with the counselling she provided at each session it all helped me through a tough period . I would thoroughly recommend Pat ’s therapy to anyone with similar anxiety or depression problems. Thankyou Pat.

I have suffered really badly with Anxiety and depression it consumed my life and until recently I saw no way out of the black hole and obsessional thoughts -someone suggested seeing Pat and I am so glad I did. She has not only changed the way I think but changed my outlook on problems, situations and my life! I knew our brains were amazing and powerful but I had no idea I could change the way I think for the better forever. I was anxious at first but Pat put me at ease in minutes, she listened and I knew she understood. Within a very short space of time condition seems to have lifted like a mist and I no longer fear thinking but I am enjoying living! I wish I had contacted her sooner and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone and everyone I know.
