He has been featured on a number of radio programmes and appeared in: Grampian TV’s ’The Mysterious North’, (22.06.1996), BBC1’s "Kilroy" (23.02.2001), repeated on BBC2 (27.07.2001) and ’Faith Without Walls: Mind, Body, Spirit’ on STV and Grampian TV on 19.08.2001.
A number of his patients’ published stories have been reported in the local, national and Sunday papers and national journals - stories including those who had been suffering from:paralysis and multiple injuries, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, endometriosis, ME/post-viral syndrome, food intolerances, skin problems, allergies and stress, brain tumour, epilepsy, arms, back and neck problems, decades of pain, kidney stones, anorexia, cancer. Stan Gerard is a registered spiritual healer, cliical hypnotherapist and thought field therapy (TFT) practitioner. He qualified as a Hypnotherapist and was accepted as a Member of the National Society of Professional Hypnotherapists (MNSPH) in 1994, an ongoing professional organisation of hypnotherapists based in Blairgowrie, Scotland, since 1989.With experience covering more than 20 years in the assistance of witnesses and victims of crime to revisit and clarify memory, he is a past Member of the European Institute of Forensic Hypnosis (now closed).
Stan Gerard was an Affiliate Member of the Medical School Hypnosis Association (now closed). With a special interest in CAM research he is a full member of The Research Council for Complementary Medicine (RCCM), the National Council of Psychotherapists (MNCP[Snr Accr), has been a steering-group member of CAM Forum Scotland and is a published author. A number of papers are listed on his website.
He holds a Professional Diploma in Headache and Migraine Care and is a Senior Associate Member of The Royal Society of Medicine.
