My training, work experience and any achievement

I can offer warmth and understanding in a non judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. Working with a variety of issues such as anxiety, stress, depression P.T.S.D, substance misuse, bereavement, domestic abuse etc., I recognise we are all unique and no how scary it is feeling alone with no one to speak to and believe in the importance of the client/therapist relationship and the nurturing which is instrumental to the therapeutic relationship.
My passion in life is to help other people and I have been a carer since childhood, so to help people as a career is very rewarding, I practice mindfulness in everyday life and believe relaxation techniques can help in our hectic and stressful lifestyles.
As a member of the BABCP there are standards of conduct, performance and ethics I adhere to.

Other concerns & issues I deal with

    COUNSELLING
We specialise in Person Centred Counselling, this is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which individuals percieve themselves conciousley rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconcious thoughts or ideas.

    HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnotherapy is simply the use of hypnosis as a psychotherapy tool. On its own, hypnosis is a very pleasant and relaxing experience as well as being a natural, pleasant and healthy state of mind.

    C.B.T
    COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUARL THERAPY
Behavioural therapies are based on the way you think (cognitive) and/or the way you behave. These therapies recognise that it is possible to change, or recondition, our thoughts or behaviour to overcome specific problems.

    COUPLES COUNSELLING
Couples Counselling is a form of therapy that looks to improve communication and resolves issues, which can be undertaken solely through individual sessions, Couples Counselling is a term applied to talk therapy for two people within a relationship

    Hypno - Psychotherapy
In addition to treating disorders of mood, thought or feeling, hypno-psychotherapy can help with a wide range of psychological problems including habit disorders, social difficulties such as lack of confidence, exam/driving test nerves,
  • phobias
  • , panic attacks and
  • depression
  • . It is also widely used for enhancing sporting performance, creativity, memory and concentration.

    DOMESTIC ABUSE
Domestic violence or domestic abuse refers to a pattern of abusive or controlling behaviour by one or both people in a relationship. It can be any form of close relationship, such as family, friends, cohabitants or a marriage and can affect anyone, regardless of sexuality, gender, disability, class, race, ethnic or religious group.
