About Vicky Davies
My name is Vicky Louise Davies, I have been practicing as a Counsellor since 2005, and I love my job.I consider myself to be warm and caring and patient, and I am committed to providing a safe, confidential environment for both individuals and couples to explore their feelings and emotions without being judged. As a Counsellor, I will support you to be able to offload challenging and uncomfortable thoughts, feelings and experiences, and/or enable you to consider beneficial change. Ultimately, Counselling is a talking therapy, so my goal is to help you to feel empowered so you can live the life you truly want to live.
I know therapy can be very hard and scary to begin with, so I do empathise with clients as I know how tough it can be to open up to a stranger about personal issues. However, sometimes some people often find it easier talking to a stranger as they are not so closely involved in his/her life.
I have often been told I am not a ’Typical Counsellor’ - which I have experienced to be a positive thing. I am not the type of Counsellor who just sits with my head tilted and asks "How do you feel about that?". Although each session is at the clients pace, I like to be an active part in helping and supporting each client. (I have added a statement from a previous client below who gave me permission to add this.)

I have been a practicing Counsellor since 2005 where I started working voluntarily for various G.P. Surgeries and Health Centres across South Manchester. After a few years, I decided to open my own private practice in 2009. I have worked with many clients over the years from all age groups, both individuals and couples, each with different problems. I also see clients on contract sessions from business/corporate organisations as well as self referals.

Each appointment is usually weekly, and approximately one hour, appointment times can be arranged to suit the individuals/couples needs.
I can provide a first initial consultation free of charge which gives us the chance to meet to see if I am the right person to help you. It also gives a chance for me to answer any questions you may have. This is a maximum of 30 minutes.
I charge £35 per hour for individuals wanting Counselling.
I charge £45 per hour for couples wanting Counselling.
I do offer discounts to students and individuals/couples on low income.
I charge £35 per hour for individuals wanting Reiki.
