About Imagine Counselling: Imagine Counselling is based in Marple and close to Marple Bridge, Romiley, New Mills, Glossop, High Peak, South Manchester and Tameside. The service provides psychotherapy and counselling to individuals.

Our counsellors are trained to support you and help you find your internal resources. The healing relationship offered by counselling and psychotherapy can lead to self-acceptance and increase your resilience and effectiveness. Counselling and psychotherapy can help people make profound changes in their lives and relationships. This happens through a greater understanding of ourselves and why we think, feel and behave in certain ways. That understanding enables us to accept ourselves and make changes with the guidance of a safe and supportive counsellor.

Imagine Counselling uses a variety of approaches from Transactional Analysis, body psychotherapy, gestalt, eco therapy and mindfulness.

I am Mary Dees and I have been trained to help you through your troubles and to support you to make changes in your life.

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist in advanced post graduate training* and a member of the Institute of Transactional Analysis (ITA) and EATA (European Association of Transactional Analysis) and abide by their code of ethics and professional practice. A requirement of ITA, EATA and UKCP is that I have regular supervision and that I am myself in therapy. This is for your safety and improves my effectiveness.

I will work with you to an agreed timescale or on an open-ended basis depending on what you want. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a confidential and non-judgmental environment.

Qualifications/Courses

• Certificate in Transactional Analysis (TA 101).
• Foundation year in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy.
• In Advanced post graduate training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy *at Psyche Institute, ITA Registered Training Establishment, affiliated to UKCP).
• Certificate in Introduction to Gestalt Psychotherapy.
