About Rugby Counselling and Psychotherapy
Rugby Counselling and Psychotherapy offers adult clients a sensitive and confidential service in a quiet, private building set back from the main road. I offer free on site private parking, and am on the main Rugby bus routes. Ground floor level wheelchair and disabled access.How I work - I provide a compassionate space to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions at your own speed. Through this process you will find insights emerge enabling your recovery and allowing positive change to take place in your life.
Number of sessions - I will work with you for shorter or longer periods of time depending on your individual, personal needs. We can discuss your requirements at our initial meeting, and review your needs as you progress.
Appointments face to face are available on weekdays and weekends, daytime or evenings, to suit you. I will do my best to meet your requirements for times and days to meet. I am flexible to fit in with your needs. Initially I recommend a regular weekly session lasting 1 hour, to be reviewed as your needs evolve. I see individual clients of all ages, adults, older adults, and teenagers from the age of 16. For those under 18 years of age a parent or guardian would need to accompany the child.
We are based in Rugby, Warwickshire, but also offer Skype sessions for out of area clients around the world. For a face to face appointment in our private consulting room, or a skype slot for an internet session, please phone or email for details.

I work with couples, and individuals including adults, older adults, and teenagers, covering a wide variety of life’s difficulties, such as: bereavement, generalised anxiety, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, bullying, low self esteem, relationship issues, separation and divorce, gender issues, affairs and betrayals, depression, family issues, low self confidence, sexuality, stress, spiritual abuse, work related stress, and many others. My training, work experience and any achievement
My qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a humanistic, integrative therapist working with a variety of modalities including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Person Centred, Existential, and unconscious processes from Psychodynamic therapy, meaning an individual therapy can be tailored specifically for your needs. I also have a Diploma in CBT. I have been working in this field since 2009, additionally I am a Registered Nurse having qualified in 1991.I am a registered member of the BACP (MBACP) and am bound by it’s ethical framework. I am on the BACP register of qualified practitioners. Come and meet me for an initial, friendly consultation where we can discuss how I can help you deal with your distressing feelings and emotions.
Counselling and psychotherapy are talking therapies that involve talking to a trained professional in a way that provides you with a safe space where you will never be judged, where your therapist will be open and honest, and where they will treat you unconditionally in a positive way. Your therapist will be empathic towards you and accept whatever you bring in a compassionate way. This will help you work with your negative thoughts and feelings to find a more positive way of being, and allow you to feel accepted just as you are.
