About Lynette Evans

Hi, I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist (Level 7), and Clinical Supervisor providing a confidential and professional counselling service for adults, children and young people. I also offer professional Supervision to other Counsellors. I have practice venues based in Skewen SA10 (Nr Neath), Neath (SA11), Swansea (SA1) and Port Talbot (SA13).

My Counselling practice aims to give you the opportunity to explore your problems, distresses or any difficult situations that you are experiencing in a confidential, non-judgmental, safe and supportive environment.

As a Counsellor I feel privileged to be part of your journey and work to facilitate you through your difficulties so that they become more manageable. Working together we can find creative and positive ways forward by looking at your problems from different perspectives to find meaning in your life, and/or help you aquire new skills/techniques to assist you in overcoming the issues you are facing.  Problems sometimes go on for a long time and you cannot see a way out of them or they can make you feel out of control, but CHANGE IS POSSIBLE.

I am a Relational Integrative Counsellor which means I am able to combine theory and techniques from a variety of major theoretical approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred and Psychodynamic and integrate them into a single approach.  This has the advantage of being incredibly flexible and creative in my practice and tailor my work to your specific needs or goals.

I have counselled clients from a wide range of ages, ethnicities and cultures, and these experiences have given me the tools to communicate freely with people and help them open up on the whole range of issues that affect their lives.  In particular I have experience of counselling clients through issues such as childhood trauma, anger management, domestic abuse, abuse, self harm, relationship issues, self esteem, social phobias, loss and change, depression, negative thoughts, anxiety/panic disorder, stress, bereavement, PTSD/trauma, eating disorders, sexual orientation, suicidal thoughts and health issues.
