About Christina
I am a qualified psychodynamic, person centred, cognitive, mindful CBT and Gestalt therapist, BACPregistered. I also work as a life coach.I work with anxiety, fear, depression, self abuse and abusive relationships, eating disorder, bereavement, communication problems, stress, anger and trauma.
I come from a diverse, multicultural background.
Our journey in life becomes marked with our experiences. In protecting ourselves, we cause ourselves damage because we are unable to see the whole picture. Signals get misinterpreted as we grow up and damage continues to follow. I help you to recognize where everything starts and help you to move on, feeling empowered and self-accepting.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I have worked as a qualified counsellor for 18 years with people with learning difficulties, people with Aspergers and mental health issues, vulnerable children, young adults and families, couples, both one- to- one and in group sessions.I worked as a counsellor with alcoholics, homeless and drug addicts and ex-offenders, with people from differing cultures and backgrounds. I have also worked with child abuse victims.
I have had a private practice for six years and have worked with local authorities.
