About Mr. James D Clague

All people will experience tough times in their lives and most of the time we can work through these with the help of our family and friends. But when you do find yourself unable to talk to those close to you or feeling increasingly isolated it can be a good idea to talk to someone impartial. Therapy can be a way to work through the issues and not feel so alone. By talking to someone you can get your thoughts into perspective and feel able to move forward with your life. The aim of therapy is to aid you to lead a fuller, more rewarding life.
The easy option when we are feeling unwell is to perhaps hide away from our negative thoughts and feelings, however, we know that this will often be insufficient. Therapy aims to help you gain insight into yourself and your problems. This is done by trying to understand the motivation behind them and eventually allow one to find better ways to cope or alter behaviour and thought patterns.
What I can offer is a safe and confidential space where you will be able to talk. I will work with you and help you understand what is going on in your life and enable you to feel more satisfied in yourself and in your relationships with others. We will try to make sense of what can feel at times to be completely overwhelming.
I appreciate that making the choice to come to therapy can be a difficult and daunting task. When in times of distress it is difficult to decide where to go. I can offer you a consultation at my practice in Pimlico to discuss your needs and what the therapy would entail. We will work at a pace that feels right for you and hopefully get you to a place where you feel able to face the world with confidence and honesty.
