As a relational psychotherapist and counsellor I specialise in anxiety in the widest sense, trauma and PTSD, relationship (e.g. couple problems, finding or keeping relationships), sexual and gender issues. I work with people from 21 years up. On a first visit, I ask you about what brings you, and we discuss whether a form of therapy or counselling with me could assist or support you. I work short-term as well as long-term, depending on your wishes and needs. I work via the Internet (Skype or other) and see this as a fully acceptable alternative. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and kink- and poly-aware. I take forensic clients.
My main consulting room is in NW3 (Hendon), on the Northern Line, with an additional practice one day a week in EC3 near Liverpool Street station (extra charge). My fees as shown are a general indication. I believe therapy and counselling should be available to as many people as possible, so I always have a number of clients for whom I lower my fee in view of what they can afford. I can work in Dutch and German. For more information, see my website, www.henrystrick.com
My training, work experience and any achievement
I am registered with the UKCP. My main training has been at Regents College, the Bowlby Centre, and with Babette Rothschild. I have done 8 years of placements in the NHS, partly in a high-security prison. I had a first career for several decades as an international businessman, living in seven countries. I am fluent in English, Dutch and German. I have children, stepchildren and grandchildren.
