About Daniel Fensom

Membership Organisation: Voluntary Accredited Member BACP.
Therapy provided: Person Centred Counselling.

I have been working as a person-centred counsellor professionally since 2008. I aim to provide a safe environment where you can look at and explore whatever is on your mind. Sessions are open ended, last one hour and take place weekly. I only work face to face and with individuals. Sometimes I will use specific tools and helping aids with clients who are looking for more structure and practical support and this can be discussed.

Please feel free to discuss your needs or book an appointment:for an initial consultation.

Phone or text 07482276697 (9am to 6pm)

Whatever your circumstances, counselling can provide a supportive environment to enable you to make the changes you want. Counselling can be helpful at particular times in your life such as:
When lonely, anxious, or depressed. Having suffered a bereavement or loss. Needing to cope more effectively with stressful situations. After destructive patterns of behaviour. Feeling dissatisfied with their work or relationships.
Being overwhelmed by a personal crisis or a major change of circumstances. In need of understanding and support. Wanting to stimulate personal growth and development. Dealing with trauma.

Counselling sessions last 60 minutes and take place weekly. Appointments are available during the day and evening.

Welcome

My name is Daniel. I have been offering individuals private one to one counselling from my practice since 2008.
I work with adults and also students and young people who are looking for help and support with whatever is on their mind or whatever is presenting a problem.

What is Counselling?

‘Counselling takes place when a counsellor sees a client in a private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty the client is having, distress they may be experiencing or perhaps their dissatisfaction with life, or loss of a sense of direction and purpose . . .

Acceptance and Respect

Acceptance and respect for the client are essentials for a counsellor and as the relationship develops, so too does trust between the counsellor and client, enabling the client to look at many aspects of their life, their relationships and themselves which they may not have considered or been able to face before.

The counsellor may help the client to examine in detail the behaviour or situations which are proving troublesome and to find an area where it would be possible to initiate some change as a start. The counsellor may help the client to look at the options open to them and help them to decide the best for them.

I provide a safe and caring environment where you can explore your thoughts and find a way forward. I use the person centred approach which means sessions are led by you and my role is to be an attentive and reflective listener.

Weekly Sessions

Cost: sliding scale (please contact) Duration: one hour. Individual/One to One

Commitment to the Process

It is very important that you commit to the counselling process and this means attending regular weekly sessions.

We can discuss your needs in the initial session.

If you cannot make a session please provide at least two days notice if possible.
Less notice than this means I will charge you the full rate for the missed session.
I make concessions for students and people who are on low income.
