About Lesley Donoghue
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with over 11 years experience working with a range of issues including trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression and low self esteem etc. Apart from my own private practice I have gained extensive experience as a counsellor/psychotherapist working for ten years at a crisis centre for adults recovering from sexualised trauma.Trained Integratively means the work can be tailored to suit your individual needs but I believe in working collaboratively and empathically with you so sensitive issues can be aired. The work is frequently explorative to help us understand how your past and/or unconscious ways of relating may be affecting you today, or it can be more focussed and short term if you wish to address a particular difficulty or unresolved trauma.
It can be daunting looking for the right therapist and the fit between client and therapist is crucial to the outcome. For this reason I offer a full assessment lasting about an hour so you get a chance to assess me and to get a feel for how I work, My private practice in Stubbington is in a quiet confidential setting within easy reach of the M27, Fareham, Gosport and Whitely, where I provide an environment which is caring, supportive and values your individuality.
Assessments and sessions cost £40 (concessions for those on low income or benefits) are usually weekly on a short or long term basis depending on your needs.
