Humanistic and integrative approach using clinically effective methods from psychodynamic,mindfulness based, cognitive behavioural psychologies as recommended by NICE and evidenced by clinical research. Methods include short term psychdynamic, MBSR, MBCT, CBT, CBASP. Clinically evidenced approaches are combined within a humanistic model to provide an effective yet holistic treatment plan.

CNHC registered hypnotherapist (both therapists). CNHC is the voluntary regulator set up with government funding and support which is also an AR. Also both registered with the FHT AR. AR accredited voluntary registers are maintained by the Professional Standards Authority, a national body accountable to Parliament.

Main methodology is integrative and holistic, combining eastern and western psychology methods in order to meet the individual needs of the client or couple. All mental health therapy treatment is based around NICE recommend and or research evidenced core methods to ensure effective and proven treatment methods. Theses are combined with other related methods to provide an individual but effective approach.

My training, work experience and any achievement

Stuart’s initial psychoanalysis and hypnotherapy training 1993-96 including over 200 supervised client cases (more than 1,000 client hours), personal therapy, observation and assessment leading to Diploma and NVQ Level 4 Training & Development. Business degree graduate with additional life coaching awards. This route was a CNHC (voluntary regulator) approved route for registration via SSM.


UKCHO & CNHC registered hypnotherapist via NACHP. The NACHP is a former UKCP member body and it’s accreditation process was UKCP approved. Stuart and Denise are accredited with the NACHP in clinical psychotherapy, counselling and clinical hypnotherapy.

Stuart also has a MSc Psychology, BSc (Hons) IIT specializing in human resources and modelling. Multiple vocational awards in the different therapies offered. NVQ level 4 training & development in the context of complementary health education. BA(Hons) Open degree specialising in psychology and social sciences. Additional University certificates.

Denise also has a BSc (open) degree specializing in health studies and psychology, and a BA (Hons) Social Studies specializing in Social policy. She has a Cert Ed undergrad from Edinburgh University.

Authors of multiple formerly externally accredited training courses including level 5 CBT, Level 4 NLP, Level 5 Anger management, Level 4 Stress Management, Level 4 Holistic Healing, Level 5 Japanese Holistic Healing, Level 5 Mood disorder management, Level 5 Coaching and Counselling Skills, Level 5 Mindfulness & CBT.

Extensive undergraduate and post graduate university training and post graduate study via British Sociological Association, British Medical Journal (CPD) and Royal Society of Medicine. Completing additional Post graduate study with the Open University. Senior Staff member, Interfaith Seminary. I have completed additional personal training in Morita, Naikan, Satori and other Japanese psychology methods. Stuart is also a 5th Dan martial Artist with over 20 years experience of coaching.

Both therapists have worked in mental health in BOTH psychotherapist and support worker roles. Stuart has completed post qualification competency training in CBASP (cognitive behavioural analysis system of psychotherapy) with Dundee University medical School & Tayside NHS for long term depression treatment, and clinical training in MBCT and CBT for depression. Both therapists have completed clinical training in Mindfulness for groups with mental health issues and PODS disassociation / post abuse training. Both have completed mental health training as mental health support workers.

BOTH therapists are subject to voluntary regulation via the CNHC, the voluntary regulator set up with government funding and recommended by the Department of Health. Both registered under the hypnotherapy category. This is now an AR accredited voluntary register. They are both also listed with the FHT AR. Stuart is also listed with ROHCP Register of Health Care Professionals.
