About Annette Tappin
I originally qualified as a social worker specialising in work with children and families.I qualified as a counsellor in 2001 and have worked as a counsellor at a GP surgery, Royal Holloway University of London Counselling department, and voluntary counselling agencies in Woking and Wokingham.More recently I worked as a mental health worker for the NHS and set up my private counselling practice in 2004. Since qualifying as a counsellor I have undertaken further training in work with couples and I am currently undertaking a clinical training at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relations.
I aim to create an environment where you feel able to talk about what is troubling you most. My practice is non-judgmental and everything you say is held in the strictest confidence.
If you e-mail or telephone I will offer you an initial appointment so we can explore the difficulty you are encountering and discuss the best way forward for you. Calls are received on a dedicated line and I return all calls if I am unable to speak to you immediately. Your calls are only heard by me. Sessions are for 50 minutes.
