About Paul Huzzey

I am down to earth, good at listening and capable of having a "big" conversation. I am also able to gleen information and use it to help you make changes in your life,if that is what is required.

I aim to provide a comfortable secure environment where you are able to talk about anything without any fear of being judged or considered strange.Over time, through discussion ,new perspectives and insights may be gained as well as the desire to come to terms with past experiences and be able to move on with your life.

I work with individuals, couples, families and anyone who needs and wants to talk.

My approach is analytical and may take into account a persons background(parenting),relationships , past and present

I have no reclining Budhas, smoking candles,or sprinkley water ,just a real ,effective, common sense approach to difficulties and problems.

My training, work experience and any achievement

I have a certificate and Diploma in Psychotherapy/Counselling and am accredited by The Counselling Society.I am regulated by their code of conduct.

My training involves all areas of Psychotherapy( integrative) but I use Cognative Behavoural Therapy ( CBT) in much of my work.

I have over six years experience working for two different charities offering counselling/mentoring to young adults.

I also have over two years experience working with young adults with Aspergers Syndrome involving needs asessments , diagnosis and support.

I have worked with older adults( with Aspergers) and their families, supporting and helping them, and putting together coping strategies to relieve anxiety.

Further Information

I specialise in working with family relationship problems often deep seated, bits of them hidden, and often passed from one generation to another.
