About Crawley Counselling

Robbi combines Humanistic and Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy theory and practice into an Integrative approach, treating each client as a unique individual and showing respect and understanding to each person she works with.

If, after the first session at Crawley Counselling, I believe that a different service would better meet your needs, then we will discuss this together and you will get the support you need to find the best and most suitable setting for you to help resolve your issues.

My training, work experience and any achievement

My counselling related qualifications are as follows:
MA Counselling Psychology, PG Dip. Counselling,, Cert. Counselling Skills in the Development of Learning
I am s Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with my professional body the British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
In 1996 I was made a Fellow of the BACP in recognition of distinguished service to the profession. I remain actively involved in the work of my professional body and am currently a member of the BACP Business Committee.

I have worked face to face with clients since 1988, offering counselling and psychotherapy with individuals, couples and groups. I have trained in both Humanistic and Psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy approaches.
I also offer clinical supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists and those in related professions, including trainee counsellors. For 20 years I have trained counsellors at every level from introductory courses to professional Diploma level studies.

Further Information

Counselling is different from other forms of helping, and clients often tell me how different they find it from talking to family members and to friends. It is such a relief not to have to worry about the person you are talking to, or to worry about meeting them in the office or at family gatherings.

The confidentiality of the counselling setting and the trust that builds up between the counsellor and the client that enables new ground to be covered and new perspectives to enlighten the way.
