About juliescounsellingroom

Seeking professional Counselling or Psychotherapy may seem very daunting and mind-boggling at first especially if you have arrived today after exploring various options without coming to any conclusions, or perhaps you already know about Counselling & Psychotherapy and therefore are seeking a new therapist, whatever your reason is for visiting my profile I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you.

Each and every one of us experience difficulties, however different at some point in our lives. Indeed there are times we feel we can’t see the wood for the trees. I provide a warm and empathic space for clients to talk about issues that they may not normally be able to share with others, who may be too close to the situation or biased in some way. I believe clients are the experts on their lives and so, by working with you I will facilitate you on your journey, by not telling you what to do, but helping you towards a deeper understanding of your concerns.
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor working with individuals, couples and young people and offer effective counselling therapy both short term as well as longer term therapy and am experienced in working with a wide range of issues including depression, bereavement, anxiety, abuse, trauma, relationship issues, separation, self-esteem, adolescent difficulties including self-harm, to name a few.

Counselling is provided in a supportive environment which is professional, confidential and respectful of individual pace and needs. The therapy offered is non-judgemental and non-directive; you decide whatever you want to discuss process and explore. The counselling experience can provide the opportunity for self development and understanding, as well as enable an increased sense of well being.

I offer Counselling for individuals and relationship counselling for couples can be helpful at any stage in life, there doesn’t need to be a crises in order to seek support.

The approach is open, honest and supportive. The therapeutic relationship is caring and accepting; I believe this is fundamental to the counselling process. This is your time to move towards and explore anything you want to achieve or understand, as well as help you gain clarity and make sense of your thoughts and feelings when faced with feeling distressed, anxious, depressed, confused or unable to cope.
