About Paul Dunne

After a successful career in business and management spanning 20 years I began a new career as a therapist. 7 years plus in training and on-going CPD I now practice as a counsellor, psychotherapist, coach and teacher.

After qualifying as a counsellor I went on to study Transpersonal / Integrative Psychotherapy and more recently Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

I spend 3 years working as a Primary Care counsellor in the NHS and over 10 years in private practice.

Transpersonal psychotherapy is a holistic approach to therapy, seeing the client as a physical, mental, emotional, sexual and underlying it all, a spiritual being. Any attempt to resolve our emotional issues cannot be complete without considering the deeper spiritual or trans-personal aspects of our being. This has nothing to do with religion or religious belief but the ground from which we live our life and have our being.

I deal with all the general counselling and psychotherapy issues such as grief, loss, depression, life change (forced or longed for), personal or professional relationships, crisis, crossroads, stuckness and unhappiness.

My practice is based in Holborn in Central London and Berkhamsted, Herts.

I saw Paul a few years back and he REALLY helped me get to grips with certain situations. I had been through many personal traumas and didn’t understand the ’way of the world’. Paul’s friendly, warm approach and profound genuine interest always made me feel at ease and I really benefitted from our sessions, it was only due to other commitments that I had to stop, but Paul Dunne is a man I will never forget in my life...he is simply an unsung hero and a superstar.
