About CB Therapy Solutions Limited

Hello my name is Christine.

Most of my clients have told me that asking for help was daunting, but they all agree that 6 months later, they feel better, and were so glad they got in touch.

I am a mature lady, a great listener, easy to get on with, and have a sense of humour too - and I would love to see you overcome your problems - whether you have been recently bereaved, abused, are depressed, or stressed out.

Don’t be frightened or embarrassed, why not just call for a chat, to see if we get on well together. We can both then work out the best steps forward for you.

My job is to help you feel better, lets work together to let me try.

Two of the most exciting things about this therapy:

You can see and measure the changes in your life
You learn to become your own self-help therapist

Can you relate to any of the following statements?

Are you anxious or depressed?
Are you finding it hard to cope with normal everyday activities?
Are you feeling overwhelmed by life events and feeling trapped?
Does it seem there is no way out?
Are you at a crossroads in your life and need help with the next steps?
Do you need to be truly heard and valued?
Would you like to learn how to become your own therapist?

If so please give me a call for a chat so we can start the changes you want in your life.

My training, work experience and any achievement

I started my Professional Therapeutic Counsellor training in 2005 and qualified in 2011. I am an experienced professional therapist, having gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the University of Wales. This course is endorsed and fully accredited by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I am a Registered Member (MBACP) of the BACP listed on the register for the BACP for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I am bound by their ethics and code of conduct.

I am a Cruse Counsellor, I followed their training Awareness in Bereavement Care course where I gained a OCNW Certification and I have a special interest in working with clients who have suffered from Bereavement or Loss and Grief where a breakdown or end of a relationship has occurred either recently or in the distant past.

I trained on the Post Qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People at Network Counselling and Training. I have a passion for working with Young People and Children between the ages of 5 - 18, I have worked as a Youth leader for 4 years and I realise it is necessary to give them the opportunity to explore any issues in their lives before they become entrenched problems to enable them to fully embrace their future with a different prospective.

I am qualified as a Couples Counsellor which gives me the ability to walk alongside couples who have or are currently experiencing relationship issues and will allow them to focus on the difficulties in their relationship in a safe environment with an experienced counsellor.

I have gained significant significant experience over the last 4 years working across numerous locations in England and Wales and I have worked with Brunel Care, in Bristol working with carers for people who have Dementia, Bridge Counselling in Newport offering Generic Counselling and for Sesame Counselling in Newport, dealing with a variety of presenting conditions.

I have been working for the three years with Network Counselling, where I have offered Generic Counselling dealing with a wide range of presenting issues for both Adults and Youth aged between 11-18.

For the last 10 months I have been a freelance counsellor for Affordable Talk at Temple Quay in Bristol where I was the only counsellor providing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for the business.

I am currently a part time Telephone counsellor for Marie Stopes International where all the calls are about crisis pregnancy issues.

My previous career was very varied working in Sales and Marketing and Office Management. Over the last 20 years, I have run offices for two multinational corporations in demanding and pressurised roles. I supported teams across Europe, so I know what it is to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. I was made redundant and decided to change my career direction and now I run a successful Therapeutic Counselling practice.

Customer Reviews

Karen, Bristol, July 17 2015

I went to see Christine when I was feeling very low following a period of loss and many difficult personal situations. I think its fair to say my self esteem was at rock bottom and I was becoming more and more introverted. I found any change extremely traumatic. I wasn’t sure about counselling, but knew I needed help to see the way forward. Christine immediately put me at ease, and I felt very comfortable about saying my true feelings. I have learnt a lot about myself and my confidence is returning. The atmosphere created by Christine is encouraging and warm, and she has made me look at myself in a much more positive way. More importantly she has equipped me with the ability to cope with things in the future. I highly recommend Christine, she is extremely easy to open up to, and I definitely benefited from our sessions.

I was at a very low and difficult point in my life, but Christine’s counselling sessions helped me see that it is possible to change my own behaviour little by little and helped me find strategies to manage a particularly difficult relationship in a more constructive way. If you are experiencing emotional anguish, low confidence and are feeling you are at a dead end, I would urge you to give counselling a try.
