About Annie Thompson F.I.Th.M (Accred) & FFMSc
I am an Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor. I am an experienced humanistic counsellor that is experienced in using person-centred, Gestalt, and TA. I am passionate about using CBT for short-term work.I offer face to face counselling for children, young people, adults and couples, for emotional, personal or relationship issues at my private practice in Bexley.
There are times in life when we are faced with difficulties or problems that we cannot manage on our own. Sometimes it can be difficult to talk to family or friends about how we are feeling and it can be easier to talk in confidence to a professional who is neutral and non-judgemental.
I have a wealth of experience counselling young people and/or their parents/carers within educational establishments as well as working with adults and couples in my private practice at home.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I hold a BACP Accredited Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. I am also accredited with The National Counselling Society & I am an Accredited Counsellor with CRUSE Bereavement Care.I am a Member of BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy), a Member of CCYP (Counselling Children & Young People), and a Member of AREBT (Association of Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapists)
Diploma in Couples Counselling (with distinction)
Diploma in Sex Therapy (with distinction)
Diploma in Depression Management (with distinction)
I have undergone further professional training and now hold:-
a Certificate in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy),
a Primary Certificate in REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy),
a Primary Certificate in Problem-Focussed Counselling.
I also have a Diploma (with distinction) in Anger Management.
a Diploma in Asperger’s Syndrome (with distinction)
a Diploma in Depression (with distinction) and
a Diploma in Clinical Supervision.
Further Information
Sessions are for 50 minutes for adults, 40 minutes for children and 60 minutes for couplesI have appointments most evenings and weekends and day-time on Thursdays and Fridays
My prices are young people - £35, adults £40 & Couples £50.
I am available daytimes (bar Tuesdays & alternate Fridays) evenings & weekends.
I live in Bexley Village and there is parking on my drive or free parking on the road.
Bexley Train Station is an 8 minutes walk.
