About Christine Shah

My name is Christine Shah and I am an experienced registered MBACP Counsellor/Psychotherapist and a BUPA recognized Mental Health Therapist. I offer a warm, safe and genuine service for all your Anxiety Issues. My approach is integrative and personalized to your needs. I work with the person as a whole, the balance between body and mind connection. I use CBT and Mindfulness with my work, offering mindfulness techniques, relaxation, meditation and tapping skills if appropriate.

However my approach allows you to move at your own pace and direct your own development which will encourage you to believe in your strengths, values and self-worth. I aim to help you, understand and then accept and release feelings in order to relieve and/or resolve your issues and develop a stronger relationship with yourself in order to defeat anxiety, low self esteem and/or low confidence.

I offer a safe and confidential service, and as a Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists I work within their Ethical Framework of good practice which you can look up on: www.bacp.co.uk. ___________________________________________________________________________

My name is Christine and my counselling is aiming to help you gain back your natural state of being, such as confidence and self esteem.

My aim is helping you to understand your own issue, accepting it, because you learn to understand the reason what is happening and why, and then to release this feeling of distress.

I work with the person as a whole (Body and Mind) and believe that everyone has their own unique perception of the world.

Some times in our life worries can be a source of great distress, linked to anxiety, social isolation, depression, chronic health issues such as pain or intense self-consciousness (just to name a few). Often people feel particularly isolated when friends and family seek to reassure them without understanding the depth of unhappines which they are feeling.

Talking to someone when you are distressed and explore how you feel in confidence and who is not a friend or family member can make all the difference.
