Hello and welcome to my page. I am a qualified therapist specialising in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), a highly effective way to help with a wide range of emotional problems including all forms of anxiety, confidence/low self esteem, depression, work stress, relationship problems and any issues which are holding you back in your day to day life. Based in Putney SW15 , I see clients from all over London and Surrey, specialising in adults and teenagers.

Fully trained and qualified in CBT, hypnotherapy, counselling and coaching, I use an integrated approach to create solutions for each individual’s unique needs., which may also also include mindfulness and self hypnosis. Other areas treated include OCD, IBS, weight loss, addictions, habit breaking, phobias (including fear of flying) and smoking cessation, which can be achieved in one session.

CBT can be applied to many different problems, including panic attacks, health anxiety, performance anxiety, blushing, exam stress and general anxiety disorder. I provide a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment in which to explore concerns and issues, balanced with warmth and empathy. This is an invaluable part of the overall process for my clients.

Coaching helps you to build self-awareness, confidence, and develop new interpersonal skills. The process involves identifying clear goals in your personal/work life and, with my support, taking constructive action to achieve them.

My training, work experience and any achievement
I qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist at the College of Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapies in central London, which provides full training in CBT . I graduated with Distinction from the college’s highly respected Diploma course, for which I am now a Supervisor and Tutor. Prior to this I trained in hypnotherapy and counselling skills. I have a BA (Hons) in Sociology with Social Psychology from Nottingham University and a Diploma in Coaching from Newcastle College. My former career as a successful PR and Marketing Consultant has provided me with invaluable experience of the business world, people and life in general.

Additional specialist courses completed: Pain Management, Weight Management, Treating Panic Disorder; Solving Self Esteem Problems; Overcoming Insomnia.

I am fully professionally insured, a member of the GHR (General Hypnosis Register) the CNHC (Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council) and a student member of the AREBT (Association of Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy).

Anxiety and confidence
I have always been a bit of an anxious person but It had never been a real problem before, but over the summer I started suffering from anxiety attacks and had a big loss of confidence, especially in the workplace.
From the first session, Louise was very easy to talk to, and very insightful which immediately made me feel at ease as I had not done any kind of therapy before. Anxiety and Panic Attacks.
I went to see Louise as I developed anxiety and panic attacks which were very distressing and interfering with my work. Louise was very reassuring and welcoming and performed a very detailed assessment of my problems. She used a very holistic approach to tackling my difficulties and used the rational emotive form of CBT which I felt suited my needs particularly well. It gave me a much better perspective on what had been happening in my life to lead me to developing anxiety and this enabled me to tackle it effectively. Louise pitched the sessions at just the right level and provided lots of written information which I found really useful. The techniques that Louise taught me combined with the weekly sessions helped resolve my symptoms fairly quickly and I was very pleased with the results. Louise also helped me with areas outside just my anxiety symptoms and she helped me examine my way of thinking that had been holding me back in lots of areas. I also feel that the techniques she gave me are skills that will keep me anxiety free in the future and that I am continuing to use. Self esteem, confidence and relationship issues.
Louise helped me to bolster my self esteem, inner confidence and self worth after a tough break-up. With her support and that of my friends and family I quickly came to see that the future wasn’t scary and in fact was something I could be excited about. General Anxiety and Health Anxiety.
I found Louise when I was seeking help for anxiety. I was interested in the combination of CBT and hypnotherapy that she offers and thought this might help to "fix" both the way I was thinking and the way I was feeling. Stop smoking and work related items.
During March-June 2012 I came to see Louise for not-smoking hypnotherapy. My biggest concern was that it would not work, but I have not smoked since and am not really that concerned by smoking or smokers. After that I had follow on sessions to discuss work related items such as confidence in interviews and presentations. It was just nice to talk to someone who was not personally involved and also practical/pragmatic, made sure I understood what I was saying, suggested where I might have developed distorted views on reality and also gave me options and examples to help me resolve my problems. Anxiety.
