About Stanmore Chiropractic Clinic
Stanmore Chiropractic clinic was established in April 2009 from a merging of two busy clinics in the Bushey and Mill Hill areas.Complementing this approach, the other significant therapies offered by the clinic include acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Deep Tissue Massage, Chiropody, Podiatry and Neuromuscular rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation and core stability training may also be part of your health program if necessary. It is one of the objectives of the clinic to ensure that whatever your health issue, you are accurately diagnosed and thereby directed to the most appropriate practitioner for your complaint or to a therapy of your preference.
If your practitioner determines your health concern cannot be addressed completely within the clinic, the centre has an excellent referral system to outstanding medical specialists, dentists/orthodontists, nutritionists, and personal trainers with whom the team work closely.
The team are very approachable and welcome any enquiries regarding the therapies offered or questions about any way they can help you maximise your health!

What to Expect When You See a Chiropractor?
Your first visit will last between 40 minutes and an hour and will include a full consultation and examination by one of our Chiropractors. During this consultation your Chiropractor will take an in depth history of the events surrounding your presenting complaint. Lifestyle factors will also be taken into account, as well as your past health history.
Following the consultation your Chiropractor will perform a thorough physical examination, including a postural assessment, orthopedic, neurological and medical tests. Your Chiropractor may require you to undress to your underwear for your examination, but a gown will be provided. After the consultation you will usually be asked to come back the following day for a Report of Findings, during which time your Chiropractor will review your case to establish a diagnosis and a suitable treatment plan.
We will endeavor to keep all of your patient details strictly confidential, and ensure that your medical history is kept between you and your chiropractor. Sometimes it is necessary to contact your GP in order to obtain further information or relevant tests, however this will only be done with your consent.
Before treatment starts you will attend a Report of Findings. Your Chiropractor will explain your examination findings, diagnosis and treatment plan. They will also go through basic anatomy and how your condition can affect your nervous system and overall well being. If this is all to your satisfaction, treatment will be started.
