About Shen Holistics

The Shen Holistics Clinic is a multi therapy clinic providing Acupuncture, Hypnotherapy, Acupressure Massage, Chinese Cupping Therapy and Cosmetic Acupuncture. The clinic is based in Acklam, and serves Yarm, Eaglescliffe, Stockton on Tees and Middlesbrough. The clinic is easy to access from all areas of Teesside. The environment is professional and relaxing, but home visits are available on request.

My training, work experience and any achievement

Sharon Cawthorne became interested in Acupuncture, after becoming seriously ill which required several major surgeries. She found Acupuncture helped her recover quicker and put her on the road to recovery. It sparked her interest into healing and helping others with their health issues.

She went on to complete three years of full-time training at the highly respected Northern College of Acupuncture, York, graduating with both a Diploma and BSc (Hons) Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of Central Lancashire in 2011 to become a Chinese Medicine Practitioner.

She now has over 6 years experience working in the clinical field of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine gaining valuable knowledge and a wealth of patient treatment experience. She has done further practitioner training in Auricular Acupuncture, Fertility and Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture.

Sharon is also a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and graduated with a Diploma from the prestigious and renowned Innervisions School of Clinical Hypnosis in 2015. She has a great deal of experience in dealing with Anxiety, Fears/Phobias, Smoking Cessation and Hypnoweight. Further training in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) has helped her work with corporate clients delivering rapid stress reduction techniques.

Sharon has undergone further training to develop her Nutritional skills from Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride and is a fully qualified GAPS Practitioner, she is thrilled to utilise this training in the clinical field.

She also has a Diploma in Acupressure Massage, Chinese Cupping Therapy and Reiki.

Sharon is currently a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, www.fht.org.uk the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) / General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and The Acupuncture Society.
