About Simeen Koylou Acupuncture

I am an acupuncturist based in Covent Garden. I also practice fertility acupuncture in central London.
Welcome to my website.

I am a fully qualified practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and I have practised Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in Holborn and Covent Garden since 1997.

I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine under the supervision of Vietnamese master Neguyen Tinh Thong at The London Academy Of Oriental Medicine (1993-1997).

My post-graduate and advanced studies have specialized in Fertility, IVF, and Gynaecology. After graduation, I received teachings on gynaecology from professor Jin Hui De of Nanjing University. I then spent another two years receiving specialist clinical studies including fertility and pregnancy with Xing Si Tu.

Later, I worked as a senior Chinese medical consultant at Sen Medicine. Working with a team of acupuncturists and Chinese herbalists treating patients with gynaecological issues, fertility and giving acupuncture for IVF treatments.

In addition to Fertility and Gynaecology, I have completed further postgraduate training in the following topics: Dermatology, Digestive and Bowl Disease, Emotional and Mental disorders, Muscular-Skeletal, Urology, Circulatory and Respiratory diseases.

I have eighteen years of experience in dealing with infertility, giving acupuncture to support IVF treatment and administrating acupuncture with Chinese Herbal Medicine for natural pregnancy.

In addition to my private practice, I have been a consultant herbalist in two major retail companies, working with the most recent herbal products on the market and gaining insight into the latest research.

I have given Chinese herbs and acupuncture at The Substance Abuse Centre at St Mary’s Hospital Paddington and acupuncture at Seventy4, which allowed me gain experience on a wide range of substance abuse conditions including emotional and psychological disorders.

I see patients at The Neal’s Yard Therapy Rooms. In my practice I use traditional acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional advice and relaxation technics based on holistic knowledge and Chinese medical theory.

I had acupuncture treatment with Simeen. Simeen listened to what I wanted to achieve with the treatment and carried it out very conscientiously, with a friendly, professional and calm manner. I was very happy with the treatment and would gladly recommend her to others.

I have seen Simeen periodically for about 8 years now and feel incredibly grateful that she has come into my life. She has helped me with a huge variety of health related situations, everything from chronic skin complaints (which have moved from debilitating to a minor occasional niggle thanks to her), to a life threatening blood condition. Most recently she was a fantastic source of advice when my husband and I were looking to conceive a baby: as usual Simeen was enthusiastic, supportive, knowledgeable and generally helpful. We conceived easily and I was blessed with a completely smooth first trimester, which I think is at least in part down to Simeen’s fantastic help.
