About Marjolijn Visser
Marjolijn qualified as a Physiotherapist in Amsterdam, Holland, in 1986 and moved to Spain to work as a private Physiotherapist in Barcelona, where she also was Physiotherapist for the national Spanish ladies’ hockey team.She moved to England in the 1990s and, after raising her daughter, she enrolled at the University of Westminster to study for a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her desire was to combine the two disciplines and make them work together to enhance effective treatment outcomes. In ALIED she found an evidence-based approach to the clinical reasoning and application of Acupuncture within Physiotherapy treatments. Her enthusiasm in using Acupuncture and Physiotherapy together made her decide to study for a post-graduate teaching certificate, so that she could show other people how to use Acupuncture.
Currently Marjolijn works in private practice in Cambridge.
