Services

Indian head massage and facial uplift massage are therapies that are based on the Ayurvedic principles. Ayurveda, which means “knowledge of life”, is the art of healthy living that enables you to create harmony in daily life by applying self-knowledge and self-care. It works on the universal principles of Spirit and Matter in which arise the five great elements Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.

Having studied Thai massage and Chinese cupping, I am able to work through the meridian lines of the body which people call the ‘acupressure lines’. Through my study of Thai Massage and my knowledge of Chinese Cupping I work through the Meridian Lines of the Body or what some people call the “acupressure lines”.

I use trigger point therapy and work through the Fascia which is a structure of connective tissue that surrounds muscles and groups of muscles. It is integral to work through the Fascia in order to gain balance in the muscles and allow the joints to have complete mobility. My intensive knowledge in Thai yoga and my years of experience practising yoga have given me a good grounding for Yoga-based exercises and stretch which I am more than happy to guide my clients with.

A lot of the exercises I give my clients include using Pilate’s ball for core strength as well as back, shoulder and neck posture. I have worked in Bikram Yoga Centres and helped improved the health of many students.

Testimonials

Over the past decade I have built up a 'Word of Mouth' business. I tailor make every treatment, each time a client comes to see me, his or her body will be different as they have been using slightly different muscles in their daily life:-

My clients range from Physiotherapists who come to have a Deep Tissue, Sport Massage as a monthly maintenance to clients with M.S. or M.E. who come to have a monthly maintenance to keep their body moving and healthy. I have built up a reputation with local Physiotherapists and Osteopaths who send me clients on a regular basis.

I have been specializing over the last few years in Student Sport Massage and am currently working with various local school children who compete in Rowing and Swimming as well as Horse Riding competitions.

Over the last decade in SW London at Clinics and Bikram Centres as well as my private business, I have treated many athletes from Tennis players to Cyclists to Runners. Many of my clients do very little sport but sit at computers all day, every day, their need for sport/ deep tissue massage is just as great.

'I am a regular marathon runner and there is nothing better at the end of a long training period than to have a deep tissue sports massage with Glenison. I have been seeing her for over a year now and her treatment after my London Marathon was fantastic! I would recommend her to any athlete!' Anthony

'My Indian Head Massages with Glenison have been not only enjoyable and relaxing, but also beneficial. By working on my back and shoulders in addition to my head and neck, she has started to loosen up a knot in my shoulders that had been there for many years. She seems to sense which parts of the body need working on, and gives good day-to-day tips on relaxation and keeping muscles loose. I always leave the massages feeling more balanced and relaxed'. Deborah

'I cannot recommend a massage from Glenison highly enough. She has a friendly, approachable manner and a unique massage style that fuses traditional and Eastern practices. I find she is always able to get right to the heart of my tension or problem areas. Glenis is a very physical masseur, by which I mean she has an energetic style, which often means she stands on the massage bed in order to ensure she can get into the troubled area and apply the appropriate pressure. This results in a much deeper and therefore more intense, satisfying and beneficial massage. Glenis is also very intuitive and I can honestly say that she is the only person I have come across who is always able to seek out the areas that need help and treats them appropriately. I look forward to here massages and I always feel much better afterwards.' Sonia S

'I was so happy when I found Glenis as my Sports Massage Therapist. As a professional dancer I need to be in good condition to do my job and Glenis is always able to find the cause of any pain and to work through it so I can get back to what I love most- dancing!! Saffron (Belly Dancer)

'My daughter and I recently did a baby massage course with Glenis. It was such a wonderful experience and has brought us all closer together. The baby loved it and slept for 2 hours afterwards.' Grandma Gita

'I used a gift voucher for Pregnancy Massage (in my first trimester) & I cannot thank Glenis enough! I get a lot of lower back pain in pregnancy and Glenis not only focused on the back area but all over which relieved the pain immediately. I have seen her for years and she has always shown eagerness and dedication to her work. She shares her knowledge/tips about body maintenance & exercises. I am pleased to recommend her for all types of massage.' Sian R

'Glenis is a real treasure. Her Hot Stone Massage is unique & blissful. She is intuitive and hightly skilled. Her personal warmth and genuine care make every treatment an uplifting experience. She is great with Children and mine always look forward to their very special massage treat!' Leena S

'We cannot recommend Glenis highly enough. She has been treating the whole family since 2005. She is intuitive, professional and comforting. My children and my sisters children love her massage and Ear Candling.' Farida N.

I have been seeing Glenis for a number of years for soft tissue massage & recently this treatment has included the use of hot stones which have been great to help heat & ease the tension & knots in more stubborn areas. Glenis is a fantastic masseur & uses a good mix of techniques as required. Her own blend of essential oils & warm towels are an extra treat. I have & continue to highly recommend her to my colleagues & clients. Emma Le Court Physiotherapist
