My training, work experience and any achievement
I have a long experience of studying the mind and behavior and my interest has always been to inspire personal development and assist people with overcoming their emotional problems so that they can live meaningful and integrated lives within the community. I was attracted to the ideas of hypnosis because I had realized that it was an effective way to be able to rapidly effect change within. My initial training was with the Proudfoot School of hypnosis where I learned about the numerous and wide applications of hypnosis for solving human problems. I was later introduced to the work of Gerald Kein who inspired me with his passion for the huge potential of hypnosis in helping people overcome series issues by removing root causes to a problem. I also trained in Parts Therapy with author Roy Hunter and learned this outstanding approach to helping people overcome inner conflict. I have recently studied with the InnerVisions school of hypnotherapy which incorporates up to date information within the hypnotherapy profession.
Do you suffer from FEARS OR PHOBIAS?
It is said that we are born with two instinctive fears, fear of heights to protect us from harm and a fear of loud noises to protect us from danger, all other fears are in some way learned and these two can be highly exaggerated causing unnecessary stress.
If you can learn a way of responding to situations negatively you can also change your perception and form a positive or neutral response to the cause of your phobia.
Phobias can be so intense that they have little or no relation to the feared object. Sometimes it may be reasonable to retain a healthy respect for the object of concern. A phobia of dogs that is irrational and over the top is disruptive and could negatively affect every area of your life. However it is natural to have some caution because dogs can and do occasionally bite. But there is a huge difference between the two ways of responding to seeing or thinking about dogs.
You are not alone with your fears, many people share with you intense fears and phobias and you are not strange or inadequate. People generally don’t talk about their fears to other people and so you can often feel alone and confused wondering why you just can’t get over it.
It takes courage to finally decide to confront your problems and I sincerely hope you choose to work with me using hypnotherapy as an effective tool of change.
