About Optimum Health
Health and wellbeing requires resilience. Sometimes we lack resilience are certain times in our lives whether from illness, stress or injury and it is with this in mind I have build a practice that brings about the integration of the mind and body to help you get back on track.
I know what it’s like to live with pain following two damaged discs in my back when I ended up in a wheelchair 26 years ago. After many years using painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs I had to have an operation to resolve the problem. I was left with residual pain and immobility and lacked energy to lead a fulfilling life. Everything was such an effort. Tui Na Deep Tissue Massage and Acupuncture was fundamental to helping me to feel well again and perform better. In the past nine years since training in these disciplines and more, I have never felt better.
In 2008, following a career as a Speech Therapist, I turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine and the practice of Acupuncture and Tuina Massage. I have helped many people move towards a life free from pain with a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western Diagnostics and approaches. My goal is to help people feel better, become more mobile and value their health. I have worked towards creating the perfect pain relief plan for individuals. With the use of the Posture Pro and Acugraph Analysis tools, I have introduced an integrative service to empower people to the principles of leading a pain free life, reduce stress and gain well-being. In 2017 I qualified as a Certified Havening Techniques Practitioner® and this has enabled me to complete the package of care to build resilience towards health and wellbeing for individuals as well as business.
