About Fiona Spring Reflections Counselling
My name is Fiona Spring and Reflections is the name of my private practice in the centre of Stroud; where I regard each client as worthwhile and unique; my aim is always to provide a professional, discrete, non-judgemental and caring service.
People come to counselling for many different reasons; perhaps for short term relationship or work related issues, or there may be lifelong difficulties which have led to behaviours such as self-harm or drug use. Whatever the complications or distress in your life, counselling can provide a platform for a deep exploration of unresolved inner conflict or it can simply be used as a place to talk through your concerns and to find a more helpful way of understanding yourself and coping with your life.
As a professional counsellor I genuinely care about the individuality of each person and the difficulties they may face in life. To this effect I have adopted a flexible integrated approach to counselling; which means that I’ve incorporate different therapeutic approaches in order to adapt to each client and their needs. My main training combines Psychodynamic and Person Centred models; however I also incorporate skills from other approaches such as Transactional Analysis, Psycho-education, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Havening Techniques.
I am currently in private practice at Reflections in Stroud, Gloucestershire and was previously employed by The Nelson Trust (a drug and alcohol rehabilitation service based near Stroud) as a Substance Misuse Counsellor.
I work with individuals or groups and offer either short term or long-term therapy depending upon specific needs.
