About Maja Grover Stripp
Hello, my name is Maja Stripp and I work on a one-to-one, face-to-face basis as an Integrative Therapist. This means that I combine my knowledge of Psychodynamic therapy, Person-Centred and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) in accordance to what your needs are.
I aim to bring perspective to your problems whilst being empathetic and congruent in a safe, private and comfortable environment. I provide a confidential, mutually trusting and empathetic service.
It is important to know that it is not a sign of weakness to go to therapy. Your personal problems are as important as your physical wellbeing.
My clinical practice to date has allowed me to treat clients on a short-term and long-term basis in a Prisoner’s Family and Friend’s Service, within a secondary school, at a NHS doctors practice and private practice. My experience enables me to help clients to accept who they are, manage expectations, cope with their past traumas, delve into a client assumption to find what is hindering them from a fulfilled and satisfying life. I would aid my clients to explore their thoughts and feeling in a non-judgemental and safe environment.
The costs that I offer,
Consultation session (the initial session) – £30 for 50 minutes.
Subsequent sessions are priced at £60 per session for 50 minutes.
Students sessions priced at £35 per session for 50 minutes.
I accept cheque &/or cash only.
Payment for the consultation session will be requested on the day. The following payments will be requested on a fortnightly (2 weeks) bases.

My training, work experience and any achievement
I am qualified with a BSc Hons Psychology from Goldsmiths University; a Certificate and Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the Institution of Counselling and subsequently studied to achieve a Post Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling at Greenwich University. In addition to this I am CRB checked as I am a qualified Psychology and Science teacher and I have a certificate in Child Protection.
I am a member of the professional body BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
Our therapy will occur in a small comfortable room in the Livesey Museum on the Old Kent Road. The building is a red-bricked Victorian building, which was a public library before it became a museum. It is about 15 minutes’ walk from Queens Road Peckham train station &/or Bermondsey South train station. The 453; 172; 53 & 21 buses, stop close to the building on the Old Kent Road.
Unfortunately there is no parking directly outside the building but there is paring on the near by streets.
Upon arrival there is a bell to ring on the front gate which has a tree symbol on it. Please wait for me to come and collect you and I will take you to the therapy-room.
THERE IS NO WAITING ROOM so please be on time.
