About Yvonne Williams
I worked for Bupa Health Clinics for 9 years where I carried out thorough clinical triage psychological assessment in order to provide the appropriate treatment or referral pathway for clients. Furthermore, for the past 5 years I have seen clients in my own private clinical practice at Liverpool Street, London.
My specialist areas are; trauma reactions, moderate to acute anxiety/depression, relationship issues, anger management, bereavement, oncology issues and sexual, emotional, and physical abuse. However, in the past ten years I have worked with disadvantage individuals, providing low cost therapy, and corporate clients, such as managers, partners and executives with the following presenting issues.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I successfully completed my Masters in Therapeutic Counselling at Greenwich University, in 2005. There, I trained as an integrative therapist focusing on theoretical perspectives such as, Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential Therapy, and Multicultural Therapy.
In 2005, I trained as an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner. Having undertaken this training I then went on to specialise in trauma reactions. Furthermore, I am currently on a PhD programme researching into participants psychological lived experiences from childhood through to adulthood. In addition, for the past two year I have provided training workshops/seminars for counsellors and psychotherapist who wish to gain further understandings of psychological issues and the implications for clinical practice.
