About Mairi Milne
Hello my name is Mairi and I am a BACP Accredited Person-Centred Counsellor.
Do you wish that distressing thoughts, feelings, behaviours would just go away? Do you feel stuck in a cycle of emotional and physical pain? Counselling can help. Research shows that 4 out of 5 people who are in therapy end up in a better place than those who do not enter therapy.
Spending time with a counsellor you will feel listened to and cared for. A counsellor is empathic and accepts you without judgement or offering advice. Counselling offers a respectful and accepting setting where you have the freedom to explore what is troubling you as much or as little as you want. Freedom to talk can help you think more clearly and have a better understanding about why you are feeling distressed.
This can take time. It does not happen overnight. However with patience you can manage yourself and your relationships in a better way enabling you to change habitual and upsetting patterns, thoughts and behaviours.
I also have experience of working with Ritual and Satanic Abuse and Dissociative Identity Disorder
