About Janet Higgins Counselling

I am based at Bridge House and have been working in both health & educational settings since 1989.I am a member of the BACP.

It offers a counselling and homeopathy service to both adults & young people and couples in a confidential setting which is within easy access of Bolton town centre, just off Chorley New Road (opposite Bolton School).

Many of us experience times in our lives when we feel under pressure and find it hard to cope, either as a person who has mental, emotional or physical health problems or as a carer.Sometimes we need the support and understanding of someone who can offer another perspective, helping us to see a fresh insight, and clearer view.

Here at Bridge House,I offer a variety of counselling approaches including:

CBT-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Solution-Focussed Therapy
Person- centered Therapy
Intergrative Therapy

Packages of care include:
couples counseling £50
Individual therapy £45

I offer flexible appointments & concessions are available subject to individual circumstances.

Following a career break to raise a family, I retrained as a counsellor and homeopath.
Currently,I run my own private homeopathy clinic -www.boltonhomeopathyclinic.co.uk and work as a private counsellor for " therapy 2 go" @ Bridge House, and previously volunteered as a counsellor @ MhIST.

From a medical background in Speech & language therapy & homeopathy,I am suitably experienced in the understanding of a wide range of medical issues & the drugs used to manage these. I use my skills to complement treatment they are already getting or as an alternative and take a holistic approach to their care. I work closely with GP`s/specialists when a client wishes to look to withdraw from medication.
