My training, work experience and any achievement
Ellie Cheshire and Janet Beetham both hold first class BA(Hons) degrees in acupuncture from the College of Traditional Acupuncture. This well respected college is affiliated to Oxford Brookes University and is one of the longest established colleges teaching traditional acupuncture in the UK today.
Both practitioners are members of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the UK’s main regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture and are thoroughly committed to their ongoing professional development.
Other concerns & issues I deal with
Acupuncture theory considers pain and illness whether physical, mental or emotional to be a sign that the body is out of balance. Acupuncture restores and maintains this balance to prevent illness developing.
Qi ("chee") energy flows through the body in a network of pathways and if obstructed for any reason (injury, infection, diet, stress), ill health follows. By inserting needles into specific acupuncture points, balance can be restored and the body’s natural healing response triggered.
