About Sally Boswell Counselling: I understand that seeking help and addressing sensitive issues is not easy. With this in mind, I aim to provide a safe and confidential environment for all my clients, allowing you time and space to open up and explore issues at your own pace. I can support you to gain greater awareness and insight, enabling you to make any changes and break negative thought and behaviour patterns.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and my core training is in the person-centred or Humanistic approach. I am also able to incorporate additional techniques into my practice where appropriate, for example Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA).

I live in Leeds where I run my own private practice. I work with individuals, long and short term and I offer relationship counselling to couples. I am able to see people during the daytime and evenings, Monday to Friday.

I have been a full member of my professional body, the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) ever since my qualification in 2008. I abide by the BACP code of ethics, which is available to view on the BACP website: www.bacp.org.uk

My training, work experience and any achievement: My qualifications include:

Level 4 Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Person-Centred Counselling from the ABC awarding body
Certificate in Working with Couples - Leeds Psychotherapy Training Institute
TA101 Introduction to Transactional Analysis – Leeds Psychotherapy Training Institute

I am committed to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and in the last few years have attended regular courses including bereavement training from Cruse, Introduction to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Working with Trauma in the Person-Centred Approach.

I have over five years experience working as a Counsellor for the NHS and currently work part time as a Counsellor for Depression for a local IAPT service. Prior to my counselling training, I worked in the caring profession and education sector, for government organisations and a national charity.

I charge £40 per session for individuals and £50 for couples.
