Right from day 1, Deborah has put me at ease and given me the confidence I would be in safe hands with her. In fact, the most difficult part of this whole experience was deciding I needed professional help and making the first move - which I’m so thankful I did. Following an initial assessment by Deborah, she was able to recommend a suitable course of therapy (CBT and Spectrum/PTSD) which she professionally guided and supported me through at each stage in order to maximise the benefit. After a few sessions, I started to see a positive difference and Deborah recommended progressing onto Reiki as another complementary treatment which again she delivered with absolute professionalism. The improvement I have felt after my sessions with Deborah is immense and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I came to Deborah after leaving an extremely turbulent relationship. She was fantastic. Her use of spectrum therapy helped me to distance myself from all the emotion I had been so intensely feeling. I now feel empowered and ready to tackle the next chapter of my life, using the life skills she has taught me. I genuinely would recommend her to anyone and would 100% go back to her, should I ever need to again.

I contacted Deborah after a long battle with multiple issues I was facing. After an assessment she was very confident she could help me which put me at ease right away. Deborah is very kind and professional throughout and we built up a really good working relationship. I was out to was very quickly and we managed to come to a form of therapy that worked best for me (spectrum therapy) I was against it at first but as Deborah continued to make me feel at ease, my therapy progressed very quickly. I now feel so much better than I ever thought I ever could. I can’t thank her enough. I will continue to see her for the occasionally session if I need it but I feel so much better

I’ve worked with Deborah for a lot of years now, Deborah probably knows me better than I know myself. She has helped me to deal with some really deep rooted issues. The spectrum therapy she uses has absolutely changed myself. I will never search for another therapist. The best thing for me is Deborah never forgets what I have talked about before, she is brilliant at remembering all the details. I hate always having to say the same things over and over but with Deborah I don’t have to. The connection I feel I have when I’m in a session with her is priceless. I also take a lot of positivity from reiki when I book in a session with her. You can tell het advice comes from experience which I believe is vital for the role she does. She has a very calm environment to work in and I feel comfortable whenever I have a session. Deborah has been so accommodating to my needs and I cannot thank her enough for the work she has done with me. Thank you for doing what you do

Highly recommended – I contacted Deborah knowing I needed help to work through all the negative thoughts running through my mind. In my early forties, going through a divorce, feeling as though I’d wasted my life and was worthless I was at rock bottom and had a lot of thoughts of ending it all. I felt like I had no one to talk to and was all alone. Deborah was able to quickly identify key issues from my past that were having a profound effect on my life and how I saw myself. She recommended self-help books and audio positive affirmations to improve my mood and beliefs about myself, tailoring her approach to my own personal way of accepting information. Via spectrum therapy I was able to let go of past traumas and the hate I had carried with me for the past 20 plus years. I have to say not all the sessions were easy and there were times I literally cried my eyes out reliving past events and feelings, however, I never felt embarrassed or scared to really open up and be honest. I had 12 sessions altogether and towards the end felt and looked 100% better, I have a completely different outlook on life and am looking forward to my single life. Deborah was totally professional and brought our sessions naturally to an end when we could both see I was continually improving between sessions. There is often a stigma attached to men seeking help and talking about their feelings, which is ridiculous I know – I can’t stress enough how this therapy has helped me and would urge anyone to seek help when they need it. We all deserve to life a happy fulfilling and positive life. John

Took my 14 year old son who was having some struggles with school/bullies, relationships etc and felt he would feel talking this through with someone who was not related or at the school. After only 3 sessions he was starting to feel better and was given some techniques to help deal with situations and after a few more sessions was feeling more confident and when Deborah felt that he no longer needed her she told us but the door would always be open. As a parent we want our children to talk to us but hey do not always feel comfortable and I am just happy that he came and told us what he wanted and we just wanted him to talk to somebody rather than bottle it up. I would highly recommend Deborah to any parent who feels their child needs some help and not prepared to wait for a CAMHS appt.

Deborah Grant helped me get my life back! "I truly do highly recommend Deborah and the services she provides, If I can only offer one bit of advice, please make the booking today, your life is that important" My story below may help you make the first step. This may sound melodramatic, but for those suffering from Anxiety and PTSD like myself, you will understand. I would have classed myself as a strong person, coping well professionally, taking on many things personally within the family and professionally and simply burying all my personal problems often without acknowledging them at all. One day that like many before started out as normal ended up turning upside down for me, out of know where I was hit with a massive anxiety attack that literally put me on the floor in what felt like intense fear. I was scared to my core, anxious, worried, embarrassed, every negative emotion you can think of, it got so bad at some stages I struggled to get passed the back door and garden gate, and every time I tried to go out I felt an overwhelming need to go to the toilet. I sought help from my GP who prescribed medication and suggested therapy, I was diagnosed with PTSD and related anxiety issues. Medication alone was not going to get my life back on track so I sought professional help from a therapist. This is where Deborah came in; I booked an appointment with Deborah and being honest, on my very first visit I parked around the corner from her practice too scared and anxious to actually go to the door, I closed my eyes took a deep breath told myself I need to do this and knocked on the door. This was the single most important decision I have ever made, because Deborah Grant helped me get my life back! I had buried so many issues and problems in my life for so many years ‘as not important’ because I was a strong person that my mind eventually took a time out and left me empty and in fear. I had CBT and Spectrum therapies and towards the latter stages also Reiki, these therapies helped me get buried and what I thought were insignificant factors in my life out verbally, and deal with them all individually and positively. Both CBT and Spectrum therapies were a life changing help for me, and those of you reading this will relate to how we need the help, but may feel we are too strong / or too weak to seek it. My life is now mine again in more aspects than I even thought I needed before the treatment. I truly do highly recommend Deborah and the services she provides, If I can only offer one bit of advice, please make the booking today, your life is that important.

I cannot recommend Deborah highly enough. I undertook a process of CBT and counselling recently after a friend recommended her. Highly skilled, put me at ease and crucially, helped me overcome a series of issues with sympathy and empathy. in a comfortable environment and with a friendly manner. 10 out of 10.

I visited Deborah for a few months to help with stress, lack of confidence and low self esteem.emotionally I was a mess and very low. Her sessions helped me massively all round and the advice given is invaluable and I will take it with me to keep in mind in the future. I spoke about things I have never spoke out before to anyone and she listened and didn’t judge me and helped me put things into perspective. I would highly recommend Deborah to anyone and everyone.

I came to Deborah looking to build my confidence after I was being bullied at work. We did some spectrum therapy as my anxiety levels were quite high. After a couple of months I had never felt better, completely confident and had a promotion at work. I would definitely recommend Deborah

Jack, Leeds, October 04 2017

After suffering for quite some time with anxiety, I came here in hope of conquering it. I can safely say that without Deborah’s help, I wouldn’t be where I am now. I suffered with intrusive thoughts, PTSD and more, but Deborah taught me how to cope with them and make life better again. I feel that the help she has given me has given me me life back, and i can’t recommend her enough to anyone, young or old.

For anyone looking on here not quite sure whether to go for therapy or not - ring and make an appointment! Deborah is highly professional but approachable. She makes it easy for you to talk about your problems and utilises the various therapies she practices to suit your needs so you may have a mixture of therapies (I can recommend the Reiki). I was at a point in my life where I was overwhelmed with aged parent responsibilities, multiple grief issues and the resultant comfort eating, Deborah helped me put things into perspective. I can highly recommend this lovely lady.

Deborah came along like a shining light in a sea of darkness.I don’t know if I would ever have been able to resolve my personal issues by myself. The professionalism and passion she has for her work comes across at each session. I had a mixture of the therapies Deborah offers ,counselling, Spectrum and Reiki and found all three beneficial and helped to rebalance me to who I was before my problems began. As a result of my sessions with Deborah ,I am more fine tuned to myself and am able to identify what to do.I would highly recommend Deborah.

Wayne, Castleford, March 13 2017

I was apprehensive and cynical before embarking on my counselling journey. I am a worrier and get quite anxious about starting anything new, so this was a big thing for me. This all changed after the first meeting with Deborah. Deborah made me feel welcome from the start and she alleviated any anxieties about the process instantly. Through a friendly but direct approach, I was able to really examine any issues I had and by the end of the very first session I felt I had made a good choice. Trying spectrum work and looking at affirmations to help self esteem, it was good to finally understand personal issues and start looking at how to overcome and deal with them. The sessions have really put into perspective some of my personal insecurities, worries and anxieties. More importantly, it has allowed me to develop tools and coping mechanisms that are practical and easy to implement in day to day life. I would certainly recommend Deborah and the services she offers. She was extremely patient, thoughtful and helpful. Many thanks Deborah!

Mike, Castleford, August 10 2015

Deborah is an exceptional therapist! I have suffered with depression, self harming, social anxiety and feeling inadequate and lost almost my whole life. I’ve seen dozens of Drs, therapists, councillors and psychoanalysts and never made any significant processes, prior to working with Deborah. Deborah provided a very relaxed, comfortable and non judgemental environment to help me explore my issues and emotions. She really listened, understood and completely tailored my counselling and treatment needs around me as a person (something not done by any other therapist I have worked with previously). Through a mix of counselling, Spectrum Therapy, CBT and Reiki, Deborah has helped me to rid myself of life-long issues, and deeply rooted emotional pre-conceptions that had always held me back from truly being myself. With Deborah’s help, I am now stronger, more confident, self assured and happier than I have EVER been. I truly value and respect myself and I am building a new life based around my interests and ambitions.

Sarah, Wakefield, May 09 2015

I initially met with Deborah to lose weight. However, it was clear that the weight issues were deep rooted and linked to my past, my confidence and self-esteem. Deborah has helped me over a period of a few months to work through many issues (some of which I did not realize I even had!) which has had a massive impact on how I see my-self, my confidence and many other aspects of my life. What I liked is that she went at my pace but when I was stuck was firm but supportive and encouraging. This is also very ethical as I could have remained stuck for many sessions so I always felt she had my best interest at heart. She has a lovely kind manner and a good sense of humour which helped at times! Highly recommended and I will definitely return if ever I need to but I honestly don’t think I will.

I have been attending Counseling with Deborah for some time and she has been so wonderful. Whilst still in the process as I write this, Deborah has helped me make sense of many things, and has put me on a path towards what we both hope will be a final solution. And whilst for the moment I no longer have regular sessions with her, we remain in contact via email and she offers any assistance she can that way. I also know I can go back and see her whenever I feel I need to.

I visited Deborah at at a time in my life when I felt that the walls were caving in! I did not know how to take control of the situation I had found myself. Deborah helped me to make sense of things, see things more clearly and most importantly speak openly without judgement. Through counselling I have become not only a stronger person but one that now can express myself which has had a positive impact in my life. I also had Reiki sessions which enabled me to further release my emotion and relax. I now feel more in control than I ever have some, at times it is still hard but I now know how to recognise signs and regain control through the counselling I have had.
