I am Dr Colin Clerkin, an experienced therapist, with over 18 years experience as a clinical psychologist in both the NHS and privately. I trained in EMDR in 2004 and am a Europe-Accredited EMDR Practitioner. I have developed this therapy approach as my specialist area of therapy, but I am also skilled in the use of cognitive behavioural approaches.
I offer therapy to individuals, children and adults, presenting with a range of difficulties, either self-referred or referred via medical agencies. My area of special interest is PTSD/trauma and anxiety-based presentations.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wales, Bangor. I am a HPC-Registered Clinical Psychologist, a Chartered Member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, an EMDR Europe Accredited EMDR Practitioner, and an Associate Member of the Association for Coaching.
