About Haven Therapy
Sometimes in life, issues and problems can build up and stop us enjoying our lives. We might feel overwhelmed, angry, anxious, sad, or confused about the strength of our emotions. Many people find that psychotherapy and counselling can help them deal with feelings that are unwanted and confusing – giving the opportunity to take a really close look at ourselves, to ask questions such as “What makes me who I am?” and “Why do I feel the way I do?”; questions that might feel too frightening to ask when we are alone. Understanding more about ourselves and what motivates us, we have greater choice and a greater freedom in our lives.

Ready to take the next step?
You are welcome to come and meet me for an initial session. We can explore the potential of working together and I can explain more about what therapy involves, and answer any questions you may have.

We can meet in one of two locations - the centre of Bath and Odd Down, Bath
My training, work experience and any achievement
I run my practice alongside work within the NHS.

I am also studying for a Masters Degree in Integrative psychotherapy, run by BCPC (Bath Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy), a UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) accredited organisation. The training typically lasts 7-9 years.

Because I am still classed as a psychotherapist in a training programme, I am able to offer therapy at a lower cost.

You may want to meet a few therapists before you make a decision, finding the ’right fit’ for you is important. Evidence suggests that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is the most important factor in succesful therapy.
